- Your phone number is shown only to businesses that open your profile, or that you apply to.
- We never ask for Aadhaar or bank numbers.
- We do not sell your data.
- You can hide your profile any time.
- You can delete all your data from Settings.
1. Who we are
ApniShift (apnishift.talentrally.ai) is an online marketplace that connects people looking for part-time, hourly, daily and temporary work ("workers") with businesses that need them ("businesses"). We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2. What we collect
- Workers: mobile number (verified by OTP), name, optional age and gender, kinds of work, experience, skills, education, area / pincode or approximate location you choose to share, travel distance, availability, expected pay, languages, which ID documents you hold (we do not collect document numbers or copies), and a short note about yourself.
- Businesses: mobile number, contact person, business name, type, address / pincode, and optionally GSTIN or Udyam number.
- Activity: jobs posted, applications, contact unlocks, attendance and ratings, reports, and sign-in records (time, IP address, browser) kept for security.
- Voice calls (only if you choose one, when available): the conversation transcript used to fill your profile.
3. Why we use it
- To show your profile to nearby businesses that are hiring, and jobs to nearby workers.
- To send you one-time passwords, job alerts and application updates by WhatsApp or SMS.
- To keep the platform safe: preventing fake jobs, fraud, scraping and abuse.
- To improve matching, using aggregated statistics. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.
4. Who can see what
- A business sees a worker's first name, area, skills, availability, expected pay, rating and badges. The worker's phone number and full name are shown only after the business unlocks the profile, or when the worker applies to that business's job.
- Every unlock is recorded. Businesses are limited in how many profiles they can unlock per day.
- A worker sees a business's name, area and job details. The exact address and contact person are shared once the worker is hired.
- Service providers that process data for us: cloud hosting in India, WhatsApp (Meta) and SMS providers for messages, and—only if enabled—speech and language AI providers for voice calls.
5. Your consent and choices
- Your profile is shown to businesses only after you tick the consent box. You can hide it at any time in Settings.
- You can edit any detail, or delete your account and data from Settings → Delete my data. Deleting removes your profile, name and phone number; past hiring records stay with the business in anonymised form.
- You can withdraw consent, ask what we hold about you, or raise a grievance by writing to privacy@talentrally.ai. We respond within 30 days.
6. How long we keep it
Profiles are kept while your account is active. Accounts inactive for 24 months are deleted. Sign-in codes are deleted after 2 days and expired sessions after 7 days. Security and audit logs are kept for up to 1 year.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in codes are stored only as one-way hashes. Access inside the company is limited to people who need it for support and safety, and administrative actions are logged.
8. Age
ApniShift is only for people aged 18 and above.
9. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects how your data is shared, we will tell you in the app and ask for consent again where the law requires it.
